Jacksonville College is a two-year Christian college offering the basic foundation courses for all major fields of study.
All of the courses taken at Jacksonville College will transfer into 4-year degrees at other colleges and universities.
It's affordable and personal, and students receive a quality education in a caring atmosphere.
Proof of high school/secondary school completion
The certification of your secondary education will be performed by INCRED (International Credential Evaluations). Visit www.InCredEvals.org to create an account and enter your information. INCRED charges a fee of $85 (US) for this service and a credit card is required. When INCRED has completed your evaluation, they will notify you, and their evaluation will be forwarded to Jacksonville College.
Official transcripts of any high schools and/or colleges attended in the United States
Official ACT or SAT scores, if available
Evidence of meningitis vaccination within the last 5 years for all students 21 and younger
Proficiency in the English language
Some of the ways proficiency in the English language can be demonstrated are listed below. If you have taken other types of English language exams, ask the Director of Admissions about using them.
All documents except official U.S. transcripts should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
International students who graduated from a U.S. high school or are transferring from another U.S. college or university must provide official transcripts from these schools. They should also provide the name and contact information of their current international student advisor. Jacksonville College will contact the advisor, confirm the student is maintaining student status, and set up a transfer date in SEVIS. Once that date has arrived, a transfer I-20 to Jacksonville College will be issued.
Students requiring a U.S. student visa, must complete the following steps:
Provide a clear copy of their passport identification page
Provide evidence of sufficient funds to cover one year's educational and living expenses
Pay the $380 advance fees once they are clear to receive the I-20: $300 application fee and $80 student housing fee.
When the I-20 has been issued, it will be sent via DHL Courier Service. Along with the I-20 will come instructions on paying the SEVIS fee, obtaining a visa interview appointment, and what to expect at that interview. Notify Jacksonville College immediately of the result of the interview.
Every international student must have medical coverage while enrolled in school. Details on the type of policy, costs, and dates of coverage are available on the International Student Insurance Policy. Athletes will also have coverage for sports-related injuries.
Jacksonville College offers every international student financial assistance.
For an international athlete student, a Performance Discount is awarded up to $14,880 per year, and the offer of the discount comes directly from the coach of the sport which you expect to play. The coach will send you the necessary paperwork for being awarded the Performance Discount. To determine how much available money you must document to receive the I-20, a financial worksheet will be emailed to you upon receipt of your application for admission.
For an international non-athlete student, Jacksonville College automatically awards an International Scholarship up to $3,500 per year. Additionally, you can earn up to $500 per year in guarantee work study opportunities on campus to be applied towards tuition costs if you are not receiving any other form of aid from Jacksonville College. To determine how much available money you must document to receive the I-20, a financial worksheet will be emailed to you upon receipt of your application for admission.
All amounts are based on the expectation that the student will live on campus. Assistance for students who choose to live off-campus will be reduced.
