We are excited to announce our first annual 52 Day Rebuild For Fall campaign, which is a campaign that we hope to repeat in the summers to come. The campaign officially begins June 4, 2021 and ends on July 25, 2021, the day before our first students move in for Fall 2021. Rebuilding for fall is what summers have always been about at Jacksonville College. To prepare for the projected enrollment for this coming fall, it is imperative that we maximize the 52 days of summer that are available to us which is what this campaign is designed to do.
There are many opportunities for volunteers to serve throughout the summer. If you would like to serve or know someone who would, please fill out the form above.
The 52 Day campaign will be focused on adjusting our on-campus space plan. There is a new space plan and/or renovations for the Library, Meadows, Weatherby, Joe Wright (East Campus), Collins, and Annex spaces. Generally, June activity will consist of renovations and relocating various classrooms. July will consist of renovations and relocating various offices. George Baker will be the project lead for these space plan adjustments. Additionally, Jonathan Becker (Assistant Mirtha Eckles) is the point of contact for Collins and Connie Greer (Assistant Linda Craig) is the point of contact for the Library/TLC.
In the Old Testament, Nehemiah and God’s people miraculously rebuilt the wall in Jerusalem in 52 days. Nehemiah rallied each family to rebuild their own section of the wall. And through prayer, faith and cooperation they were able to see the wall rebuilt. This campaign will be an opportunity for prayer, faith and cooperation that we believe God will use to ready our college for the fall.
