REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ASSOCIATE
IN SCIENCE DEGREE

1. Completion of a total of at least 64 semester hours of credit. Fifteen of the 64 must be of sophomore level; at least 32 must be completed at Jacksonville College.

2. Completion of the following specific courses:

English 1301 and 1302 (Grades of "C" or higher)
English Literature (6 hours) or English Literature
(3 hours) and Speech (3 hours)
History 1301 and 1302
Government 2305 and 2306
Religion (6 hours)
Physical Education Activity (2 hours) (Students over 25 years of
age, veterans, and those who have physical disability may
request permission for a waiver of this requirement.)
Natural Science with laboratory (8 hours)
Mathematics (3 hours)
Visual/Performing Art Appreciation (3 hours)

3. Demonstrate computer proficiency (By exam or 3-hour course)

This program is designed to provide the basic courses for the first two years of undergraduate education in the sciences.
