Classes that are conducted by independent study (where the student is not required to attend regular class sessions) must be justified in writing and approved by the Academic Dean and the instructor. The student is responsible for communicating with the instructor on a timely basis to obtain instructions, assignments, turn in assignments, and schedule examinations.

Examinations shall be conducted by the instructor on the college campus and such examinations shall be substantially the same as those given to students in regular class sessions. The instructor shall document all work done by the student in independent study.

An additional course charge of $100.00 is made to compensate the instructor. This fee must be paid in full upon registration in the course and may not be carried as a charge to the student's account.
