Student Scholarships

Many of our students have financial needs that are beyond what normal financial assistance will provide.  Jacksonville College has, for many years, ensured that all students, regardless of financial ability, can receive the education we provide in our distinctly Christian environment.  For only a few thousand dollars a year, you can provide the difference in the life of a student. Parking Lot

The vacant lot next to Norman Library must be converted to a parking lot. Estimates indicate this project could be completed for a few thousand dollars. The project will complete the area adjacent to the Norman Library and will provide parking for the facility and activities at the center. Building Restoration

Several buildings on campus must have restoration for Jacksonville College use. Contact Dr. Edwin Crank at ecrank@jacksonville-college.edu.

A few of these specific buildings are:

The Newburn-Rawlison House - This historic house built at the turn of the 19th century is  being remodeled to provide a meeting place for our activities. It will also serve as a guest house for the campus. We need antique and period furniture for its refurbishing to bring it to completion. Currently this project is about 35% complete and could be completed with your help. $60,000 would place this project at the nearly complete level.

The Weatherby Building - This great old building has served the campus well since 1952.  It now needs significant updating to continue to serve the student population.  Early estimates place the cost at $400,000. Your gift will ensure the continuation of a great tradition on the campus.

Remember the College in Your Will
It is a very simple yet profound act that you designate your chosen assets to the flagship institution of the Baptist Missionary Association of Texas. Some remember the college by leaving an insurance policy with Jacksonville College as beneficiary.

Gifts of Stocks, Bonds or Mutual Funds
Right now you can give your investments to Jacksonville College and receive the tax advantage of the gift.

Charitable Remainder Trust
Some Jacksonville College friends choose to place their assets of land, properties, or other assets in a charitable remainder trust and live from the income of this trust. Others choose to sell the assets, place them in trust and live from the interest and provide an insurance policy benefit to Jacksonville College.
