Jacksonville College Offers Pre-requisite Courses for Nursing Programs
(RN, LVN, and BSN)
Did you know that the number one major at Jacksonville College is nursing? Prospective students who plan to enter the medical field, including students planning to enter the RN, LVN, and BSN Nursing Programs, can take prerequisite courses offered at the college during the summer and regular semesters.
At Jacksonville College, students, faculty, and staff have access to advanced technological resources to facilitate the learning process. We are committed to providing the best possible tools for student advancement. In
our Science Department, for example, over half of our science lab experiments involve the use of wireless laptop computers. The chemistry laboratory is equipped with Mobile Pentium IV notebook computers with Vernier LabPro data collection devices for conducting computer based experiments, and results of experiments are printed using the lab's color laser printer. In Anatomy & Physiology courses, students have access to the ADAM program, a widely used anatomy program for the human body that uses computer simulations and actual cadaver photographs.
Spring 2005, UT Tyler will offer Pathophysiology through our Video Conference Center, Fridays 9:00 a.m.-12:00. This course has prerequisites.
Jacksonville College is committed to a student-first attitude. Students will find dedicated Christian instructors and administrators who are willing to work with them to ensure their success. Science, chemistry and math classes are taught from a Christian world view. The college also has a small student-teacher ratio (13-1) that allows for individual attention a larger institution may not be able to provide.
Jacksonville College offers State and Federal financial aid and various performance and non performance based institutional awards. Most of these awards are available simply through application, audition, and acceptance of
the Jacksonville College requirements. One of our most popular non performance awards is the Commuter Award. For those commuters who take at least 12 hours of classes, this award will cover 55% of tuition costs.
